Flights:

We always use Skyscanner for booking the flights. This website gives the cheapest flights and optimal prices as per our experience. Book well in advance for good prices. It costed 82k for 2 people round trip.

Activities:

You can book the activities on online platforms like Klook and GetYourGuide. Both of them offer almost the same prices for the attraction and both are super reliable. GetYourGuide offers free cancellation upto 24hrs before the activity dates, whereas Klook has activities that are not listed in the GetYourGuide.

In addition, type of the ticket can be a bit confusing, so read the below description properly and select the right kind of ticket as you need. I’ve given links to both Klook and GetyYourGuide.

What we wore in Singapore?

Coming to the most challenging part (only after I got married) is selecting what to wear on a holiday. Thanks to my lovely wife, Smitha, she does the outfit planning for any destination. Previously, I only wore black everywhere. Looks like she had added colours to my life 😀 Anyways, the next recommendations are from her on what we wore.

How to get Singapore Visa?

This is the most asked question when it comes to Singapore. Singapore apparently doesn’t allow individuals to apply directly for a Visa. You will have to go through an agent only. Please ping me on Instagram @sakrecubes if you need the contact details of the agent that I went with.

Where to Stay in Singapore?

Singapore is well connected City. No matter where you stay, you will find a metro (MRT as they call it) with 1-2 kms. My suggestion is to take a stay nearest to the metro (within 0.5 km). Since you would be using Metro most of the time, this will come in handy and would save a lot on cabs. 

The popular places to stay are

1. Little India – You get great Indian food, required especially if you are travelling with family.
2. Bugis – Another trendy destination for travellers, especially young couples. This place has a lot of restaurants and shopping malls at walkable distance. It has great connectivity to rest of Singapore.
3. Lavendar & Kalland – This place is close to little India, with great stay options for all budget categories. This is where we stayed.
4. Marina Bay/Downtown – If you have good budget, then Marina or Downtown is a great place for you. This area has some of the luxurious stays in Singapore.
5. China Town – China town is great for food and budget friendly accomodation options, although you will find less Indians here, you will meet people from around the world here.
